Jackie's Famous Mashed Potatoes


  • 5 pounds Yukon Gold Potatoes (peeled and cut into chunks)
  • 1 stick Butter
  • 1  cup 1/2 & 1/2 
  • 2 tsp Granulated Garlic 
  • 2 tsp Dill weed 
  • 2 tsp Celery Seed
  • 2  tsp Onion Powder 
  • 1 tsp Sea Salt + 2 tsp Sea Salt
  • 2  tsp Fresh Ground Black Pepper
  • 1/2 cup sour cream


  • Place potatoes into large saucepan and add enough water to cover. Add 1 tsp Sea Salt. Cook over medium-low heat until fork tender - about 15-20 minutes.
  • Drain potatoes and pour into a stand mixer. Add the butter, Sour Cream and half and half. Mix on medium speed until creamy. Then add the remaining ingredients. 
  • Pour potatoes into a serving bowl for serving.
  • Optional, garnish with Fresh Dill 
  • Serve warm 

*Adjust seasoning  to your personal taste.

*Very important cut the potatoes into similar size pieces to ensure even cooking. Salt the water before cooking the potatoes.
